SPECULATION is growing about the future of the Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne after a string of poor performances and bad results – and Sven-Goran Eriksson has expressed his interest in taking over.
Sven, who is also currently expressing an interest in becoming the next Ukraine boss, the next X Factor head judge and/or the next big boyband (“Come and get me, Louis, you crazy dude,” the Swede told reporters this week), has been out of work since leaving Leicester City in 2011.
Sven is among several potential replacement for Osborne, who is under pressure from PM David Cameron after failing to meet his targets, A spokesman for Sven said: “It is a job that interests Sven greatly provided it pays a huge amount and there’s a big pay-off when he f***s it up.” A Treasury spokesman said: “Osborne has a contract until 2015 and he’s not going anywhere.
That’s the trouble – neither is his bloody recovery plan.” A spokesman for No 10 said: “Only yesterday the PM gave George a vote of confidence.” Sven’s spokesman added: “Anyway, Sven’s got his eye on that Nadine Dorries after seeing her in the jungle. She could be the next Ulrika.”
